Johnnie Walker. BBCRadio 2 (19th April)
« on: April 22, 2005, 21:19:42 »
I was listening to Johnnie Walker last Tuesday (19th), which was a refreshing change for me, as it's usually 'CBeebies' at that time

His guest was someone who I'd totally forgotten about.
He's a guy who used to tour (& play) with a group called 'New Model Army'

He plays the most incredible music on his (home-made) electric violin, he's called; Ed Alleyne-Johnson

It inspired me to dig out the 2 tapes I have; 'Purple Electric Violin Concerto' & 'Ultraviolet'.

I know it's 'looped' & overdubbed, but it's still a eerie, hypnotic sound (plus lots of eefects pedals)

If you get the chance, have a listen to him

On here at present Circa the 1:54 mark on the player.
Richard A Thackeray
Defender 110Td5 'Heritage Gone, but not forgotten
Jaguar XKR; X88 JLT, also 'gone, but not forgotten'

Yorkshire Born & Bred, and proud of it.
