Talking of trailers I saw one ex caravan on the way up the M5 on Saturday, just north of j22.

the poor owner had gone, but there were 2 recovery vans collecting the remains of their van.

I also when past an old looking trailer on which the stub axle had sheared off.

Please everyone check your trailer/van before you go off on holiday, and balance it properly. you only need it to be the once in a hundered, and it could cost more than a few quid.

On a lighter note I see the caravan club has released a guide for folks new to towing caravans, If you are new to towing, see if you can get one. (if not call me).
