It Must Be a 'Blue-Moon' Tonight
« on: April 24, 2005, 16:16:29 »
I've got a confession to make

I w*shed the Discovery this morning

It's only been done very rarely before

'Dave-with-the-Discovery' (next door but one) was washing his.
No!, I didn't feel shamed, or was told to do it (SWMBO was out at B&Q)

But seeing as he has a nice big diesel powered Steam Cleaner, I thought why not?

The thing is, I'm off next week as well (been off since Thursday14th) & I'm going exploring around the Otley, Ilkley & Bolton Abbey area tomorrow, so I'm sure it'll be back to normal by the evening

Mmmm... ('thinks') Pity Andy's probably working

May I say, the reference to 'Blue Moons' gives a certain clue to the frequency of water with cleansing additives going near my Discovery.

What do you all think it is?
I'm up in Yorkshire, it rains a lot! Why bother, it'll get rinsed within a couple of days

I've just realised how bl*e it looks in those photos

This one is better

Sorry you're working Andy, I'll tell you all about it & where I go later

Mmm, an early dinner at The Wharfe View Cafe sounds good! &  perhaps tea & buns at 'Buffers'?

Nice day out in Otley/Ilkley, but didn't get as far as I anticipated due to a late start.

Came back to the Discovery in Otley & found I'd got a flat

It wasn't much fun as it was the front-near-side & I'd parked on the right hand side of the road.
To top it all, I knew the bottle-jack was there, but didn't know if it worked or the handles were under the seat
Thankfully they were, but the tyres been condemned (it had felt a 'bit funny' for a few miles, but the road surfaces aren't too good in places) So I now need another Colway235/70 AT, only done about 21,000miles, & barely worn

Still I cheered myself up with dinner at the Wharfe View Cafe :D

Meat & Potatoe Pie, Chips, Peas, pint of tea, Treacle Sponge & Custard all for £3.50.
Can't go wrong

Oh & it was nice at these locations as well
