BerLING!

Looks a bit too shiney and plasticy for me, wonder what it would look like after a Camel trophy type experience :-k

Probably not that good

Can't see it flexing terribly well - it's independent all round and they usually struggle.

Slight difference in the length of the arms

I'd be happier in the ovlov at motorway speeds over a full on dakar speced truck.

The cross country is pants on wet/greasy tracks through woods. No good for off road. Bloke I know that does some shooting had one and sold it pretty quickly and bought a Honda 4x4 which he's chuffed with.

Probably would do ok on a road trip through Europe in winter lol

I will never understand these 4x4 estates that pretend to be off roaders. Either buy a big estate or buy a 4x4. If you can't live with a real 4x4 then do you really need one?

Subaru's Forester was designed for dealing with untreated roads and farm tracks. It doesn't pretend to be a big tough 4x4, just an estate with a bit more ground clearance. If I didn't go laning I would quite like one as it'd be unstoppable on snow and ice in winter, handles pretty well, goes a bit and looks completely harmless. I like cars that look innocent right up until the turbo kicks in...

Still, at least it isn't as bad as the blinged Hummer H2 I saw at MPH last year. It had a winch with steel cable...and the ally fairlead for plasma rope!

To be fair the bloke in the unit opposite us has the early model of these.  He has done over 200k in it and has never let him down.  Regular trips full of goods across the country.

He says Mon to  Fri it is a works van and at the weekend its a family car.

40+ mpg and all the room he needs  ;)

But it is butt ugly  ;) ;) ;)
