Yea it's the oil pump sproket bolt come undone if you stoped it within about 10-15 seconds of the light coming on will be a cheap fix as in under 500 quid
If you run it for a while your lookin at 1000s
When mine went I had a bill of 1500+ just for parts
Sorry to maybe bring bad news

If it is the the oil pump bolt then get in touch with Land Rover before shelling out any of your own money.  They replaced my engine at no cost when it happened on mine (at 7 years old).

just a quick update

good news is the chain hasnt snapped or bolt come out of oil pump, chain tensioner has semi broke and dumped it in the oil pickup filter then the oil fed plunger that puts pressure on the tensior was jammed back which meant the chain was loose.

off comes front cover monday to look a bit deeper as found 4 large alli bits about 15mm sq & 4/5mm thick when put together theres a slight curve to it think this was found in the sump any ideas wat it could be ? piston?? casing ??

Does the TD5 have a fuel lift pump?

Mine went through a phase of being reluctant to start and then being very uncertain at idle or at low revs. Eventually traced it to a knackered lift pump, replaced that and all was well.
