« on: April 25, 2005, 15:00:50 »
Well what can i say. I thought you all should know there fantastic if you need to carry anything on your roof and keep it dry these are great. I got two bag's one large, one with two wheel's on it for dragging and a hard base. one even larger one for bigger thing's and a cover that stap's them down to your roof rack. No other staps needed. They both have a large zip with a flap system to keep the rain out. Thick canvas these will be good for year's. Sorry if i'm going on a bit but they are very good. Thank's kev "Hobbit 874" for picking them up for me, 33 quid bargin. If anyone want's one ask Hobbit 874 he has still got some.
PS please let me know what you think.

Dave, We've been looking for something like this for ages :D  Taking the Disco across Europe during the summer hols and need something better than the plastic type tarpaulin (which ends up in shreds!).  Could do with 3 if any going   I notice in your pic you've put a base on your roof rack.  Did you use marine ply or just normal plywood?
Thanks

Hello if you pm  Hobbit 874 i think he still has some bags. They are only 33 pound. Sounds good for what you need. The boards are just normal but i painted them with some rubber paint and it's made them look a bit of a mess. think i will be doing them again but useing some better stuff. The wood is not cheep though.

Thanks for the plug dave

Ref the non slip paint, another option is anchor surplus, they used to do non slip paint as what the military use on the decks of the armoured vehicles. Might be worth a look or a call, I know I've seen them it was either them or another of the military surplas people

For anti-slip paint, this stuff is pretty good :

We used to sell it online as a favour for a friend, and it isn't terribly expensive.

Very good Dave, I'll have to get myself some.

I didn't realise Kev had some for sale, some on ebay too but Kev's price is best yet.
