Shiny new chassis!
« on: September 03, 2010, 21:13:14 »
Finally picked up my galvo 88" chassis with Hightower from Richards in Swinton this week- friendly bunch of guys- they interrupted their lunch to show us around the factory- their serious about their engineering, quality is good and business is good too apparently, all parts they either make on site or source locally, which makes a pleasant change! Sadly I think their galvanised bulkheads will forever be beyond my reach but I wish them well with it- if only Land Rover had built mine like that originally:((

Now it's in the new workshop and all I need is a couple of bits to bolt on to it. Like transmission, engine, a body, interior,......

So I'll be on the hunt for that rear axle again!

Piccies! On 4 wheels at last. They don't turn round very well mind- hopefully they'll free up soon enough.

Next- brake pipes and stick the engine in.
