Hello All

Hi, I have just joined, I'm 29 year old female from derbyshire with a land rover 1985 90 which I'm trying to rebuild on a new chasis, would love to here from anyone who's got any tips or advise for me as although I haven't got much in the way of finger nails left  I'm still no mechanic

no.1 tip:

buy a big pot of this when putting it back together, use on every thread...

:rolleyes: here we go....

and why would that be exactly? Have safely used copperslip even on wheel nuts for over 20 years.... not a single issue... a torqued fixing is a torqued fixing. Non lubbed fixing requires more then the original torque to remove over time because of corrosion, a lubbed (copper slip) fixing doesn't require any LESS than original torque i.e it hasn't caused it to loosen!
