2ootdi into 109 ex millitary with pics

hiya boys and girls, jus put a 200tdi into a 109 for a customer, naturally il share the pics, it had atierd old 2.25 petrol that he had messed with , by that i mean painted the rovker cover red and put a k+n filter on  :-k...

then offering up the 200 lump,  i used a discovery unit wich ment i had to either find a defender manifold setup or use a 300tdi manifold as the 109 chassis is inch and a half taller at the highest point of the chassis leg

i went for the 300tdi setup as the 300 turbo gives you abit more umph..

and i had one laying around ..

Ive noticed you have used the 200 radiator ,it is possible to use the series rad with a 300 intercooler.You change the thermostat housing to a series one and it all fits very neatly behind the front panel,without any cutting or moving the front panel which some people do which spoils the series look.

 you can use a series rad, although this paricular one was past its best, also the disco rad came with the engine and was a good one.. i agree i dont like it when people nmove the rad panel faward, doesnt make sense.. i didnt have to move that, and fabricated the rad mount so it would work without the viscous an put a kenlowe on on a thermstat switch.. was happy with the end result tho..
