Hi There, from Compton
« on: October 01, 2010, 19:05:41 »
Hi All,
I'm Rick,  and I've just joined.

I have just bought a 2000 TD5 which broke 6 days in to ownership :-(
The fuel pump died - no warning - so I "recovered" it back from whence it came to be fixed.
But this sorry tale had a silver lining, the last leg of the recovery was performed by Hissy (I believe)  who told me about mud-club and what goes on. (Adding a huge thanks for the recovery - much appreciated)

I have done some off-roading in a Suz Vitara (soon to become "project vehicle") - mostly round farmers fields chasing rabbits and the like.

The TD5 will be my work hack but will also serve to splash some mud around.
I believe there is a huge technical resource here, which given my less than rosy introduction to the TD5, will probably come in very handy ;-)

All the best
Rick

PS:  Not having had the Disco longenough to get photos, "Buck" will have to stand in for a while
