hi there i brought a 4ltr cherokee from a slavage auction it was stoln and recorvedd but with no keys i have got it turning over but will run four 2 seckonds then cuts out any help woulp be good what dose the alarm and imbloszer cut out its a R reg if that helps with the newer dash

What you have described is the immobiliser - main dealer only fix I'm afraid.

Isn't there something about the door locks from the passenger side and keys from a scrapper?  Or the cetral locking control unit from the passenger door?  Have a good search on jeepclub.com

On a GC the centre locking control is in the passenger door but the cost may be very high..Why dont you just remove the doors...? :rolleyes: :lol:

take the reg number and chassis number off the vin plate and talk to your local dealer about cutting a new key and the oprions open to you. but don't take offense when the cost is mentioned
