Ignition barrel
« on: November 20, 2010, 10:28:49 »
 Discovery 300tdi ignition barrel is being troublesome and allowing the key to insert ok but then when turning it it locks as though the steering lock needs taking off.
Somehow with perserverence it then allows the full turn of the key.

Is a replacement ignition barrel required and if so is it easy to fit ?
Second hand - is this storing up trouble ?

Hoping someone can answer my queries. thanks

Its a plug and play replacement, simple enough job, go for new as you know what you have then.
