Can I fit a 300tdi fuel injection pump on a 200tdi?
« on: August 15, 2011, 14:37:45 »
Hi everyone,

Not posted on this part of the forum as I normally hang around the Deafener board. I have a Disco engine it though.

I've been having a lot of fuelling problems of late which has led me (after numerous other points of interest) to the fuel injection pump.

I've bought a 300tdi and was told it would swap over, yet I'm finding conflicting advice on the web - some say yes, some say no.

I believe it is an earlier version (without drive by wire).

Anyone know a definitive answer?

TIA

Simon

Well the pump fitted straight over with no drama. Other than removing the EGR potentiometer, it was a straight swap.

However the original problem seems to persist, so it might have been a waste of time
