The club is only a club thanks to what the membership would like to get from it, we as admin, moderators can only facilitate this through the forum. People need to remember that the club was started under the proviso of being fun, friendly and last but not least free to the general public. Now we are currently looking into ways for donation for those that would like to contribute to the club funds this though will probably not be set up untill the new year.

The most important thing I need to stress is that as members of one of the largest internet 4x4 communities around, the more you put into the forum the more that everybody is going to get out of it.

here here !!
Problem was it was Free and very quick in the old days.

Im happy to pay for a Share, maybe there should be a few hardcore members to pay for the site (share) to be able to help out in the running of the site ?
All you would need it 10 at the most to donate a maonthky amount, and then there would not require a membership and it will be like the good ole days ? 10 at

A point to think on re speed. When atm machines were new to us all they were too quick and we could not keep up. Move on 30 years and they can't keep up with us. All a matter of perception.  The forum on my Android it is plenty quick enough.

Too much flash and not enough substance.

Taking this site down was the worst move ever.

It's gone from a very active and helpful but creaking site to a flashy and extremely empty site.

In the old days, the Disco 1st page would be full of posts from the last 24/48 hours. Now it dates back to August.

Goodbye and farewell.

I don't think it matters why it went down only that it is now back and needs our support to get back to where it was. Things do change not always for the better but the main thing to influence change is us users. By all means point out where you think it is going wrong but don't leave it at that, put in a suggestion to move it forwards. One just needs to stay positive.

Oh and I'm not a stooge for the admins I just don't want this site to be abandoned by the people who make it work, ie the users.

It's a newer version of the forum software that it had before. Nothing has changed except there's a new portal which you don't have to use, and a toolbar at the bottom which I can remove, but you'll lose the ability to chat with each other livetime. That's it.

You are the users, if you want it stripped back to bare bones, then tell me.
