2001 Bighorn Autobox Overheated
« on: January 29, 2012, 18:51:29 »
Evening all! Iv got a problem with an auto box on a 2001 Bighorn LWB.

After having all the injectors replaced and the turbo replaced on isuzu warrenty, due to fuel leaking into the sump, the gearbox has now overheated and burned the fluid. it will drive o.k. when its cold but as soon as it warms up, it looses all drive untill cool again.

The auto transmission oil temperature light comes on and there is a very strong smell of burned oil. On inspection, the oil has gone very thin. Im having the oil and filter changed but any ideas on why its happened would be great!
