Hello Guys,
there seems to be a lot of things that control the fuel shut off in the injector pump, the drivers door is one of them, the alarm another.
So although I did not get a decent explainatioin from the computer guy it seems that for some reason my P38 was telling the pump not to operate.
I did have a Steinbauer upgrade fitted to the P38, the type you just screw into the plugs down the keft hand side of the engine,
I had the Steinbauer on for ten days and the problem occured twice,
I took the Steinbauer off about three weeks ago and have not had any more problems with it (touch wood)
