1991 Discovery Make-over
« on: August 15, 2012, 15:09:54 »
My 1991 bought from new Discovery needs a make-over engine done 250,000 miles still starts first time even after months of non use. I'm thinking of spending some money on it to bring it up to date. Re-spray; front and rear bumper replacement; body lift; new tyres. Just to have some fun before it rots away. Anybody know of a enthusiast who would do the work located in south east England? Saw a photo that appeals to me. Am I being MAD? Jim

If it were me i would look at refreshing it certainly but un-molested early discovery's are getting rare and I would be thinking more like a classic car restoration. Just a thought.

Hi Lambert.
Yes I have been told that. You have put me in two minds now. I will have to see if others agree. It would look great refreshed and a good example of an original Land Rover Discovery. I've had loads of offers people knocking on my door but I don't know if they want it for refurbishing or scrap! I feel the latter.
