Legal Question - Covering windows on Disco
« on: May 04, 2005, 15:24:46 »
My bro is starting his own business, I'm thinking about putting some advertising on my disco, ideally in the back windows (the side windows at the back, not the wondow in the back door).

Are there any legal issues about doing this?  How much can I put back there?  Can I blank out the windows completely?  Presumably as commercial vans are allowed, there'll be no issues about reducing visibility???

Obviously I'll be making sure my insurance company are happy with it as well.  Do you think they'll have a problem? I won't be using the vehicle to do business, is it any different to putting Land rover logos on the side??

I don't believe there are any issues regarding covering them, you can blank them out completely as far as I am aware.

The only ones you can't mess with are the driver / passenger doors and the windscreen.

Piglet has had all his back windows covered - no issues. Never failed MOT or anything - as Tim says - just the front windows/windscreen and rear passenger ones that are important for visibility in a Disco ;-)
