how ya doin mate, they dont like the veggie stuff mate, they dont run as high pressure as a common rail diesel fuel pump, but they are reasonably high pressure, higher the pressure the finer they spray from the injectors, the injectors will clog up,and it'll be an arse to start from cold

Dont even bother thinking about useing veggie oil in a 38a,  it burns out the fuel pump in the tank. The oil even at a 5% mix was too thick for the pump.

FYI, I have done a few thousand miles on 50/50 filtered-used or new veg oil and diesel with no problems. Haven't tried winter climates. Although I have no doubt from previous experience that cold starts on veg do gum up piston rings at the very least (albeit I was doing multi drop on 100% veg), I'm comfortable using an even mix on a long journey. It does smoke more than on diesel under acceleration, but she's not exactly youthful.

Don't use veg oil unless it's new, the fatty acids break down and become corrosive in use.

Better to make Bio Diesel which is far less viscose.
