Open Letter To 'Range Rover Blues'
« on: May 08, 2005, 21:54:04 »
Julie, Andrew (plus Bracken & Max)

My apologies for ours being such a brief meeting this afternoon.
I'd arrived for about 10:45 (admittedly it's only about 8miles away for me) so I was ready to go home & get sorted for the birthday party 'small-child' was booked for in the afternoon.

It was purely by chance that I saw you driving down the field to park up as I walked back to the Discovery.

I thought I'd better come down just in case you'd forgotten my number, like I had yours :oops: .

Hope you enjoyed the varied bits of mechanical engineering on show.

By The Way;
Did you notice the 'stone' on the way in??

Oh yes & selected photos are loaded up; in the eponymous album (& in 'Land Rovers Of The UK. 2')

It was really nice to meet you and finally put a face to the name.  I did have a good day even though the weather tried to intervene.  In fact one of the highlights was to watch a Constructor recover a low-loader that got stuck in the mud on the way out.

As for the stone I'm afraid I didn't see it, I was busy looking for the water tower.  I hadn't realised how close to the M62 Ackworth was, it turned out that I have been there regularly when I used to repair computers.  I covered the 'Sheffield' patch!

The stone is on the central stone 'turning circle', but was partially hidden by the advertising signs.
Surely you didn't miss the water tower?, it's big enough :lol:

Checked out my show albums yet?

Didn't se you snap that one :D   People might think we flattened all that grass.

I've some photos (easy to take too many) and I took a couple of videos just to hear that engine.  Trouble is on dial-up it will take forever to send.  Maybee I'll put them on CD and post to you, how's that sound?

Just as I got in the Discovery, I received a phone-call from someone, afte it I thought I'd just snap it to show that another Mudder' had attended.

That's a very kind thought, yes please that would be more than acceptable.
