I believe they do cover europe.
PAS went in northern france earlier this year.  i didn't fancy getting it recovered from there so got it back to the uk and called them.  very helpful they were too and have used them again since when the pas went yet again.

I did think about phoning them to ask, but I can only find the Assist Number, don't seem to have a 'general enquiries' number.

The AA want £102 to cover the Disco and trailer for 2 weeks - but they specifically state that if a replacement vehicle is required (whilst you are in Europe), they will not be able to supply one with a tow bar  :? , which sort of makes spending the 100 beer tokens pointless - unless of course it's something that can be fixed, rather than needing recovery to the UK.
