does anyone know the correct type/ grade of oil to put in the diffs of an imported pajero swb. not sure if it has limited slip diffs, but does this really make a difference? if anyone has any ideas i can find out year/ engine type if nessessary after the weekend, thanks in advance

give your local dealer a quick call, they will be abe to tell you. Be warned thought that if the vehicle has had a report of noise or suchlike, one of things that may have been done is to alter the type of oil from 'standard' to something else, probably slightly thicker.

The recommended oil for an Isuzu Trooper front and rear axles
( there are similarities between a shogun and a Trooper in some things so maybe they use similar oil )

Front and rear axles
 API    GL-5    <do not use GL-4 which is the most common on the shelf>
SAE90  or   SAE80W-90
Change every 2 years

Gearbox
Engine oil  15W-40

thanks for that! he has tried ringing the main dealer but ounce they found out it was an import they quickly lost interest!!

if it's got a lsd and you put ep90 in,you'll find it makes a bit of a difference. the first thing you'll notice is the clutch packs burn out,after that you'll notice how expensive parts are for imports. find out if it has an lsd before you go any further(and they're nothing like troopers)
