Techi type compooter type question .

The company I work for has just had a load of cd's made to show our range of arborist , fall arrest and climbing gear .
:D
The cd shows the stuff as a web page that opens in explorer and a few customers have told us it isn't working for them . (most have been in the states or Germany) .
Question is could it be down to an operating system or a different internet viewer used in these countries .
I'm only asking as the guy who made them left a few days ago for a new job and nowbody here has a clue.
Cheers Lee...

do you happen to know if it is using "flash" on the page, that may cause problems if the user doesn't have the appropriate software.
Or it might be a problem with the OS, is it set to "autorun" often MS and Mac handle it difffernetly

Yes it does open up the program as soon as the draw closes
Don't know about the flash bit sorry .
It looks like our web site but runs much faster and has a lot more detailed data sheets on it .
You get the main page then jump through links to new pages knothing clever ..
But it works fine on our computors at work

Are these customers saying that it doesn't work at all, or that it doesn't autorun?
Are there instructions supplied on what to do if it doesn't autorun (as it can never be guaranteed that a CD autorun!)?

It could also depend on the default internet browser.
If the CD has been setup to run in IE then there may be problems for those running AOL or Netscape.
I had this with the menu on my site because of the HTML that I was using.
It would show for people with IE but not on AOL or Netscape. As soon as I changed the menu for normal buttons then it was fine on all the browsers.
