3.9 V8i Slight Manifold leak when cold.........
« on: May 25, 2005, 23:24:06 »
I may get a 1994/5 300 series Discovery 3.9 V8i on Thursday,
but it has a slight leak on one of the manifolds when it's cold (dosn't affect the drive and seems to sort it's self out when it's warmed up).

this is what i am being told by the present owner (but, they want to sell it),

it passed the MOT last week like it, so it can't be that serious, Has anyone got any alarm bells ringing or is it a easy fix.

I know my way around a Discovery, but if it's a common thing, i'm not to proud to take advice.

thanks GARY.
it's a mud thing............you wouldn't understand !!

Are we talking exhaust manifolds? could be a bolt giving up the ghost.  I have a lot of trouble with mine because it's been bodged in the past. I'll have to resort to new manifolds and downpipes to fix it.
