That Mud Clubber was me & I was at the Series 3 Club 'Camping' Weekend

Sorry we did not get introduced Bob696.  :(  Saw your vehicle by the way. :D

My BUY 678H is a Series 11A diesel (not a series 3) and I came to the Powis castle rally from Derby with my wife Anne & my pal Ross.
We had fun but somehow we got the Landie back home without the need to wash it which is rare when we go to events. NO MUD!!! or anything challenging for that matter.
However, great camping, great toilets, great games. great forest drive, great views & scenery, great charity auction. Great to meet old friends & make new ones. The Series 3 Clubs national is always full of fun surprises.

Watch out for next S3 Owners club event at Carsington on 11th June, see club mag for more details. BUY 678H will be there and it WILL GET MUDDY!! We will have camping & plenty of real offroading, plenty of mud and some green lane runs.

Hope to see you there?
Regards
Lowey

We spotted a few around Shrewsbury this afternoon, we were on our way back from Snowdonia way.

Did feel sorry for the 109 & 88, both pulling caravan's doing about 15mph uphill on the A5

:D Not us, our 88 diesel pulled our caravan easily along A5 doing a good 40 mph. I am sure that the guys doing 15mph were quite happy as they were returning home from a brilliant landrover rally at Powis castle with lots of weekend offroad fun & games, & happy memories.

I am sure the 15mph was only temporary as they tackled a grade or pulled away from one of the many Shrewsbury ring road roundabouts.

We love our series vehicles.

I have mud to clean off mine :-)

Carsington is probably not doable at the moment .... have to spend sometime on the camper getting it ready for holidays.

Had great fun, including getting lost on the forest drive and getting into the castle via the back entrance. ;-)

They looked happy enough - besides there was two lane's on the road so plenty of room for people to pass    :D
