:?: Can anyone help me please?????
I have just been told that i need a new ABS unit by landrover at a cost of £2000.00. Does anyone know if their is another option. I just want to turn the lights out to get an MOT. I asked about a second hand unit but they say it may not talk to the ECU. Help me please! someone!

Take it to an independent and get the lights reset for £20, then whip it off for the MOT, before the lights come on again.
If the fault code is a faulty shuttle valve then you dont have much option, but look in a breakers yard for a 2nd hand ABS unit first.

Hi
Have the same problem ABS lights on, has been reset twice and lube sprayed into shuttle valve.  MOT due in three weeks.  Can you give me a bit more info about the work you had done.  Did you source the ABS unit or did the garage find it, how much did it cost in the end? Is everything still OK?
Regards
Stu

had one go on mine, the lights come on, you have them reset but they only come on again, got a s/h unit and fitted by a good bloke, cost about £300 at the time i think, hellof a lot cheaper than lr at 1200 plus vat for unit alone, got mine from 4x4 auto craft (ebay) on the net, very helpful and very reasonable.
