Disco rock sliders with rear wing protection
« on: June 16, 2005, 19:20:26 »
had an idea

i am going to try to get my local fabricator to make a rear wing protector

it will be fixed to my steel rear bumper and a rock slider

but what i need is a rock slider that also sticks out as a side protector(tree slider)

something along the lines of this but for the rear wing and much neater and nicer

anybody got any rock slider picks and where to source them :D

That's a good idea.  I'd suggest on a 4 door you look for a few strong mounting points, like the C-post near the door stricker or seatbelt mount and run a 3mm plate through the generous LR door gaps to secure the hoop outside the bodywork.

Discoparts do a slider with the tree bars.  Very good bits of kit.

I have to say that I hate those ARB things that come round the front wing.  Not sure what one would look like on the back.  Will watch with interest . . . . .
