Blinkin 'eck.....  Will keep a look out!!!Ben, what's going on?? - really feel sorry for you!Ian
Hi AllMy 90's been stolen in the last few hours. That's 2 in about 18 months.Any news, let me know.CheersBen
You really must consider fitting a tracker to the next replacement. £299 fitted at Autotek on St Mary's Gate plus your choice of subscription - £120 pa or £325 for your duration of ownership. It might seem a lot but it proves invaluable for those who have gone through what you have.
Sorry to hear that Ben, especially as you know all the hassles it causes too.Quote from: "mike142sl"You really must consider fitting a tracker to the next replacement. £299 fitted at Autotek on St Mary's Gate plus your choice of subscription - £120 pa or £325 for your duration of ownership. It would take anybody about 1 min to find any tracking device on a Defender and remove it. Especially systems like trackstar that need a celleluar aerial and GPS signal. The money is better spent on a MeckLock fitted to brakes and clutch where the only viable option is to crane it and low loader it away. This very rarely happens.CheersSteve
I'll not be needing those wheels now Ian, and the remap's off the cards at the moment

Did you find any screws or fittings on your drive??Absolute Bar Stewards....Might be worth a trip round Sodbury (next month I think) - see if you can spot anything that was yours As Steve G pointed out, mechanical locks are the way to go... I'm quite a fan of the 'full metal jacket' - more of visual deterent too.Ian
sorry to hear about your miss fortune. i know this ent much help but the chance is it was stolen to order! most landrovers taken are normaly sold before thay go missing, ie engine, wheels, etc etc and the rest sits and rots away in a small yard somewhere. have you had a look around small garage units within a 15 mile radius area to your self if you boarder another county i would start looking there first normaly old airfeild type industrail area's first and as for trackers personal i wouldn't wast money on them as most need the car wheels to be moveing with normal electrics on and to be honest the electric's are normaly by-past with 4 foot of 6mm wire to get started then removed so the vehical is then tricked, then 2 miles down the road its onto a trailor and away? and thats before you have finnished you call to the tracking company.
How did they find it?
Excellent news!Would be interestin to see how they disabled teh security devices. I would ask to see it before it goes to the repairer.... If you do, get some pics :D
It wasn't found by the tracking compnay, as far as I'm aware. Not a shining endorsement for them!Ben
Rather not say what they've found, as it might not be a good idea for anyone else that has similar systems fitted.

I'm particularly interested as I was about to get one fitted.
