Defender Imobilizer fault ?
« on: April 21, 2009, 18:26:39 »
Hi my 1998 300TDI defender has an intermittent fault with the immobiliser.
It doesn't reset sometimes then if I leave it about 5 Min's it disarms and I'm on my way.
It used to happen 1 or twice a month but since a little trip to Wales and a bit of a dunking it has done it 3 or 4 times in a week.
I have asked my local auto electricians about having it removed but they did not have any idea how long it would take them to remove it.
If anyone has any ideas or tips where to look or how to cure it I would be very grateful.  :-k
Landyman ...
If in doubt go flat out!!!!
