wot's it called?

can anyone help please, on some landy's Ive seen some wire/string that comes from the front wing to the roof bar on eather side of there motor's wot is this wire called if there is a technical term for it please.

I know its for lifting low branches out the way when laneing!!

Yeap, any edge has to have a 10mm readius or something like that, so they would be bush-hosepipes.  Probably still work though :-k

Same goes for bullbars but it didn't stop them gettinng banned either.

Thing is I guess that a cheesewire could turn a surviveable accident into a decapitation, plus they are hard to see.

A friend of mind has some very neat bushwires with a clip hook on one end (like a mini winch hook) and a small turnbuckle on the other, so he can put them on for scratchy tracks or take them off for the drive home in about 2mins.

i got all the bits to make a set from b&q all for like £17 they work realy well when laning and you can just loosen the turn buckle and the mini d link and take them down easy. I will say if you do make a set yourself make sure you make a good strong anchor on the wing as they take a lot of stress
