There's nothing showing on the BBC news pages for today, with 'Santa Pod' as a search.
So it can't have been too serious??

Noooooooo :(
That is so sad! We weren't too far from the top end either.
We left just after they stopped racing as we needed to get the kids home @ a reasonable time.
We wern't aware anything had happened until today, the place was so packed full of people. Had this happened at practically
any
other event @ Santa Pod, the area in question would have been deserted.
