Out and About pics..
« on: April 06, 2005, 23:39:52 »
:D Evening all. I work for a large printing firm in Manchester and at the moment im the only delivery driver, which means i get to go to some places ive never been before, like today. This morning i went to a place in Wales called Talacre which is right on the coast and i had to deliver some printed flyers.    My god this was a posh Caravan Park Five star facilitys and certainly wouldnt mind staying there one day. :D

Anyway whilst i was in the area i had a drive around in my van and i took some pics on my mobile, which got me thinking. Ill put a folder in my Gallery titled Out and About Pics in Van. for putting pics in of places, things or anything out of the ordinary i come across whilst doing my job.
Yes i get bored easily, and now ill bore everyone else with my pics. But i think ill take my other camera as my phone pics arent very clear.

:D I get to go to places alover the u.k, but more often than not its just journeys to Yorkshire,Manchester,Liverpool and Derbyshire.
And i often see nice, funny, differant or strange things which ide like to share with you lot....  :? That cleared the Bar quick
First pics in gallery now, dont worry only a phew from this morning.

Whilst at the camping park ( which was like Fort Knox ) i was esscorted round by a very nice young lady. The facilitys are second to none its got the lot Bars Resturants Kiddies play area with a machine which you climb into and a huge fan lifts you off the deck and you can fly I WANTED A GO but she woudnt let me  :(  Its that posh whilst driveing around the site with my staff passenger if we came to a customer i had to stop and switch the engine of till they were out of sight. She said some of the Caravans were upto £100.000 worth and shes proberbly right lookin at some of them. Well worth a visit i think. And i spotted a couple of greenlanes nearby. :D

Nothing on WetRoads forTalacre, perhaps you ought to e-mail the location

This is the only likely looking candidate from trying to match yout phot to the map (I assume it's the railway bridge?)

:D Yep ive been at it again with my camera. This time i had a trip to Clevedon, near Weston-super-mare just of the M5. Never been before so i took some pics of bits of the coastal road and beach in Clevedon. 8)  Some pics are a bit dodgy not very clear, but some are o.k. The weather was brilliant and warm. Left Manchester at 9:30am with cab heater on and jacket. By the time ide reached the Black Country the Sun was out, jacket and heater off. :D  Whilst i was walking around the small beach ide found i could feel the Sun burning on my arms. Now why cant Manchester be more like this.

:D Anyway Clevedon looks like a great place to visit. Quite little coastal town with old victorian buildings and even an outdoor natueral swimming pool on the beach. Not seen one of these since i was a nipper when we used to go to Morecombe for our hols   . Pics below..  :D

I first went to Talacre when I was 18 in my Cortina Mk2..... I drove to the beach area and noticed some Beetle buggies on the other side of what seemed like a firm area.....

Yeeh you guessed it, is was soft sand and they had mad eit cos of their large fat tyres...... We tried it and got a few feet into the sand and very nearly got stuck..... Much to the amusement of the lads ont eh other side...

Dont think it would be a problem now but the 145/13 tyres just weren't upto the job... always a tyre thing aint it :)
If I could only find some mud to play in, I would be as happy as the preverbial pig!!!

I think you meant the Bare pool at Morecambe. It's actually a man-made (concrete & stone) pool.
That's if we're thinking of the same one, this one is up the road a few hundred yards towards Happy Mount park.
Anyway, have a look here for some memories of Morecambe :D
